Judaism-Star of David (1) Ch 15, connect to form a circle. *Work 8 Hdc into circle. Ch 2. Repeat 2 more times to create Triangle. Connect to beg ch. End off and weave threads. Leave a tail about the length of your little finger. Ch 22.
DO NOT CONNECT TO MAKE A CIRCLE.
In 2nd ch from hk, 1 Hdc. 2 Hdc in next 6 Chs. Ch 1. (2 Hdc in next 7 sts. Ch 1) 2 times. DO NOT END OFF. Weave this part of the star around the completed triangle, by pulling the ‘long tail’ through the middle of the completed triangle. Pull it- first under then over one side, and back into the center. Then pull it under and over the next side-and back into the center. Finish the weaving by pulling the ‘tail’ under the first side, and matching this end up with the other end. Connect both ends with sl st into top of of beg ch. End off. Use hook to pull Beginning tail through the bottom of the Beg Ch, then tie off with other tail. Weave threads.
Christianity-Celtic Cross (2) Ch 6 connect to form circle. Arms 1, 3 & 7: Ch 4, put your thumb over those 4 chs. Work Triple Picot St. Hdc into each ch back to center circle (4 hdc). Sc into loop. Arms 2, 4, 6 & 8: Ch 2, put your thumb over those 2 chs. Work Triple Picot St. Hdc into each ch back to center circle (2hdc). Sc into circle. Arm 5: Ch 6, put your thumb over those 4 chs. Work Triple Picot St. Hdc into each ch back to center circle (6 hdc). Sc into loop. Alternate between Odd numbered and Even numbered Arms. Connect into base of Arm 1, end off and weave threads.

(3) Ch 4, connect to form ring. Arm: Ch 2 . Put thumb over those chs. Ch 5, sl st into 5th ch from hk. Ch 5. Sc in 2nd ch from hk. Trc in next 2 chs. Sc in last ch. Ch 5, sl st into base of Sc just worked. Work 1 Dc into each ch of beg ch of Arm- working towards ring. Sc into ring. Repeat Arm 3 more times to form Cross. Sl st into beg ch of Arm 1, end off and weave threads.
