Materials * 4-ply yarn*: 32 oz spruce #362 * Crochet hook size H/8 * Yarn needle Gauge 7 dc = 2 inches; 3 dc rows = 1 3/4 inches Check gauge to save time. Pattern Notes Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Ch 3 counts as first dc throughout. This is an oversize sweater. The body is made in one size. However, the ribbing is adjusted according to small, medium and large. Work in back lps only for entire body and sleeves of sweater. Body and sleeves are crocheted vertically. Row 6: Rep Row 6 of sleeve ribbing. Rep Row 6 until ribbing measures 3 1/2 inches, fasten off. Back Bottom Ribbing Rep front bottom ribbing. Assembly Sew sleeve and side seams. Neckline Trim Rnd 1: Attach spruce at back left shoulder, ch 3, work 3 V-sts evenly sp across left shoulder, 7 V-sts across front neck opening, 3 V-sts evenly sp across right shoulder and 7 V-sts evenly sp across back, sl st to join in top of beg ch-3. (20 V-sts) Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st as beg ch-1, [sc in next dc, 2 sc in next ch sp of V-st, sc in next dc] rep around, sl st to join in beg sc, fasten off.
