Needles: Size H Crochet hook. Finished Measurements: Approximately 33″ x 38″ With Baby Print Ombre, ch 7, sl st in first ch to form ring. Ch 3. Row 1: Make (2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) all in ring. Ch 3, turn. Row 2: In ch-3 space of previous row, between groups of (3 dc), make (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc). Finish row by making 1 dc in top of turning chain of previous row. Rows 3-55: Continue as in row 2, always working (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in ch-3 space of previous row. End off after row 55. With White, join in any space along side of strip. Ch 3, 2 dc in same space, * 3 dc in next space, repeat from * all along side, 15 tr in space at end of strip, 3 dc in every space along side, 15 tr in space at end of strip, 3 dc in every space along side, 15 tr in end of strip, continue to beginning of round, join with sl st to top of beginning chain, fasten off. You will need to make 12 strips. When you have all the strips complete, begin to join strips. Method 1: With right sides facing you, lay two strips side by side. With White, sl st these strips together by going through the top loop of each strip, matching stitch for stitch. You will want to work through only about 2 or 3 of the end trebles, leaving the remainder free to form a scallop at each end. Method 2 (alternate joining): You may single crochet the strips together, forming a slight ridge between each strip. To do this method, hold strips, wrong sides together, and single crochet through one stitch from each strip, matching stitch for stitch. Again, use only about 2 or 3 of the end trebles, leaving the rest free to form a scallop edge. You may make this pattern any length or width you wish, simply by adding rows and strips. For an adult size, 17 strips and 100 rows becomes a very nice afghan. Be sure to purchase extra yarn if you intend to enlarge this pattern.
