Border Sampler was worked in cross stitch on white 14 count Aida using three strands of thread and was custom framed. From this sampler you can see how effectively one motif repeated can be used to make a border. Repeat the motif  with the bells and ribbons or add pattern variations on the motifs, as shown with the baubles. By combining three related items (the ribbons, bells and baubles), several simple borders and seasonal colours, we have made a simple and decorative Christmas Sampler. Individual borders can be used for table linen, serviette rings, bands for Christmas crackers and cards, besides being stitched as a Sampler.
