Crochet Dragon Doorstop

finished SIZES:Approximately 20-1/2 24” tall, including the Hats.

BASIC STITCHES: Ch, sl st, sc.

PATTERN NOTES: Work two strands of yarn held together unless otherwise stated. Work in continuous rnds; do not join or tum unless otherwise stated. Mark first st of each md.

BODY Rnd 1: Beginning at bottom, ch 3, sl st in first ch to form ring, ch I, 2 sc in each ch around, do not join. (6 sc made) Rnds 2-3: 2 sc in each st around. (12, 24)

Rnd 4: (Sc In next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) around. (32)

Rnd 5: (Sc In next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st) around. (40) Rnd 6: (Sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st) around. (48) Rnds 7-:30: Sc in each st around. Place plastic jug inside of Body. Stuff around sides and in front of jug. Handle will be at the center back of Body. (Do not stuff too full; sts should not be stretched in front. Body should fit smoothly over back of jug.)

Rnd 31: (Sc in next 4 sts, sc next 2 sts tog) around. (40) Rnd :32: Sc in each st around. Rnd :33: (Sc in next 3 sts, sc next 2 sts tog) around. (32) Rnd 14: sc in each st around. Place lid on jug, secure or glue in place. Handle Thread tapestry needle with two strands of Body color; press Body together through opening of jug handle and sew sides that have been pressed together, stitching back and forth through opening (see illustration). HEAD Rnd 1:. Sew Legs to sides of ‘Body about 2″ apart so Doorstop will be in a sitting position (see photo). ARM (make 2) Rnd 1: Ch 3, sl st in first ch to form ring,ch 1, 2 sc in each ch around. (6 sc made) Rod 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12) Rnd 3: (Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) around. (16) Rnd 4: (Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st)around. (24) Rnds 5-21: Sc in each st around .. At end of last rnd, join with sl st In first sc. Leaving 18″ end for sewing, fasten off. Stuff firmly. Flatten top of Arm and sew closed. Sew one Arm to each side of Body beginning two rnds below where Head and Body are joined. EYE (make 2) Cut pieces from felt according to ‘full size pattern pieces … Glue Pupil to front of Eye White, glue back of Eye White to Eye Back.
