Work 2 in. in p.l, k.l rib as given for Back Welt. Cast off in rib. EDGING Join shoulder seams. Using 3.50mm hook, with right side of work facing and starting at lower edge of right front, work a row of firm d.c. up right front edge, round neck edge and down left front edge (approximately 8 d.c. to every 2 in.), working 3 d.c. into each corner, turn. Mark positions on left front edge for 8 buttons, the first to be t in. above lower edge and the 8th to be t in. below neck edge. Space remainder evenly between.
